Kiran Raphael is a pianist, composer and arranger. He has had the opportunity to study music and share the stage with some of the best musicians in the world including Barry Harris, Fred Wesley, Gerald Wilson, Esperanza Spalding and many others. At the age of 15 he recorded on Spalding’s Grammy award-winning album “Radio Music Society.” He studied music on scholarship at the prestigious Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. He is active in the Portland jazz scene both playing and teaching.
